Our Approach
A positive educational experience depends on more than what happens during lessons.
Five Principles Behind the Livingbrooks Experience
The school's educational approach is organised around five guiding principles.
01. EXPAND
We look beyond the traditional boundaries of schooling.
Learning begins during the child's formative years and is supported through education, wellbeing and meaningful partnership with families.
02. INTEGRATE
Children's needs are interconnected.
We therefore seek to bring together the different elements that influence educational development rather than addressing each one in isolation.
03. PERSONALIZE
Every child is unique.
We seek to understand individual needs and work collaboratively with families to provide the support most appropriate to the child's development.
04. BUILD & LEVERAGE
Children develop best within supportive communities.
We seek to build relationships and make use of relevant support systems that create a sense of belonging and provide opportunities for growth.
05. EMPOWER
Families are important partners in children's development.
Our approach seeks to strengthen the capacity of families and eventually the learners themselves to take increasing ownership of educational, personal and future career goals.
A Learning Environment Designed Around Children
A positive educational experience depends on more than what happens during lessons.
Livingbrooks seeks to provide an environment in which children can learn, interact, explore and develop within surroundings that support their wellbeing and safety.
Our school environment includes provision for recreation, transportation support, security, healthcare support, hygiene and after-school care.
Safety & Security
The safety of our pupils remains an important priority. The school seeks to maintain appropriate premises security and a protected learning environment.
Healthcare Support
Livingbrooks works with designated healthcare service providers so that appropriate attention can be obtained when healthcare needs arise.
Clean & Hygienic Environment
Children learn within an environment where cleanliness is encouraged and the importance of healthy surroundings is reinforced.
Recreation & Play
Play and recreation contribute to healthy childhood development. The school provides opportunities for children to relax, interact and enjoy appropriate recreational activities.
School Transport
Transportation support is available to provide added convenience for pupils and families who require the service.
After-School Care
Children whose parents or guardians cannot collect them immediately after regular school hours can remain within a safe and supportive school environment.
