ABOUT OUR SCHOOL
Livingbrooks Model Academy is committed to developing the whole child.
ABOUT LIVINGBROOKS MODEL ACADEMY
Livingbrooks Model Academy commenced full school operations in 2016 with a commitment to improving educational outcomes for children through an approach that extends beyond conventional classroom learning.
Our philosophy recognises that a child's development is shaped not only by academic instruction, but also by health, moral values, practical abilities, family relationships and the quality of the environment in which the child learns and grows.
For this reason, Livingbrooks approaches education holistically. We seek to create a learning environment in which academic development, character formation, wellbeing, skill enhancement and family support work together to prepare every learner for success in school and in life.
We believe that every child is unique. Our responsibility is therefore not simply to teach, but to recognise individual potential, provide appropriate learning experiences and create the conditions that allow each learner to develop confidence, competence, discipline and a meaningful sense of purpose.
OUR BELIEF
“When children are given the right learning experiences within a supportive environment and positive value system, they are better positioned to become relevant, responsible and productive members of society.”
This belief shapes the learning culture at Livingbrooks and influences how we approach academics, character, wellbeing and relationships within the school community.
ACADEMIC DEVELOPMENT
Our aim is to cultivate learners who are confident, increasingly independent and prepared to progress successfully through each stage of their education.
CHARACTER & VALUES
Education at Livingbrooks includes intentional character development. We believe that what a child becomes is as important as what a child knows.
WHOLE-CHILD WELLBEING
Our philosophy recognises the relationship between educational outcomes, emotional wellbeing, physical health, family support and a child's broader environment.
OUR CORE VALUES
Values We Learn. Values We Live.
Our core values represent the fundamental beliefs that guide behaviour, relationships and decision-making within the Livingbrooks community. They influence how we work as an institution and the qualities we seek to nurture in our children and families.
01. Excellence
We encourage a culture of giving one's best, continually improving and pursuing high standards in learning, conduct and responsibility.
02. Responsibility
We teach children to understand their obligations, take ownership of their actions and contribute positively to their environment.
03. Growth
We recognise development as a continuous process and encourage every learner to remain curious, adaptable and committed to improvement.
04. Care
We seek to create a compassionate environment in which children feel known, supported and valued.
05. Uniqueness
Every child has individual abilities, experiences and potential. We respect those differences and seek to provide opportunities for each learner to develop meaningfully.
06. Integrity
We promote honesty, consistency and principled behaviour in both personal choices and relationships with others.
07. Respect
We encourage children to value themselves, recognise the dignity of others and contribute positively to their school and wider community.
Supporting the Child Beyond Academics
Our philosophy recognises the relationship between educational outcomes, emotional wellbeing, physical health, family support and a child's broader environment.
We therefore seek to provide a school experience that supports children academically, socially, morally and personally.
